Overview

As part of the CNS Hosting Service the Open Systems Group provides several managed server offerings to help meet your project needs. With “managed server hosting” CNS owns and is responsible for the hardware; including the server(s), network, devices, operating system and application infrastructure components, providing a stable operating environment for your applications. Your IT organization only needs to manage your applications. Managed hosting provides more value than co-location and dedicated hosting because it frees more of your IT personnel from mundane infrastructure-related tasks. Your people can now focus on understanding and supporting your business processes more effectively. Managed hosting is more responsive than fully outsourced solutions because you remain in full control of your applications.

Hosting Services

Application Hosting

- Web servers (virtual web hosting): Apache, Microsoft IIS

Apache web hosting includes 5G of space to host your website and costs $10/month.

IIS web hosting includes 5G of space to host your website and costs $15/month.

Our Apache servers support CGI environments for PHP, Perl, and Python

Our IIS server include support for ASP and .Net application environments

Both web server environments are load-balanced and highly available.

- Database servers: MS SQL enterprise, MySQL

The MySQL service includes 5G of space for your database at $20/month

The MS SQL enterprise service also includes 5G of space, but for $100/month

Server Hosting

- Fully Managed Hosting - You buy the hardware. We locate it in our datacenter and manage the hardware, operating system, and application infrastructure.

- Dedicated Server Hosting - Similar to "Fully Managed Hosting" above; however, we own the hardware and essentially lease it to you.

- Virtual Server Hosting - We will provision virtual server resources in our existing infrastructure for your project. We manage everything up through the OS and application infrastructure.
